UAV Photogrammetry Processing

The scope of UAV portion was to import and compile a combination photographs of varying angles and altitudes inside of the Context Capture (CC) software with certain horizontal and vertical parameters. Utilizing the control points to accurately obtain measurements to georeferenced an orthophoto. The orthophoto is then used to generate a point cloud that were later imported into Trimble Real Works (TRW) to create a measurable model. This model was then compared to the Lidar group to confirm the accuracies of the renderings.

A point cloud and orthophoto were created for each photoset. This includes photos from 115 feet at 70 and 50 degrees, 100 feet and 150 feet at nadir, and an orbit at 80 feet. All photos were imported and complied inside of the ContextCapture (CC) software and given certain parameters in which to be created with. Each photoset was used to create an orthophoto and point cloud of the project site.
